Homecoming

Blessed.

I’m blessed.  There is no way around it.

Last week, I hate to admit that I was tempted to run and hide.  I wanted to crawl under the covers and stay there with my head under my pillow.  I felt beaten down with one sentence.

I choose to cast my cares on you, Lord, and you will sustain me.  Psalm 55:22

I know man’s rejection only is God’s protection.

Blessed.

I’m just so blessed.

Just look at my beautiful daughter.

This was supposed to be a homecoming event with a boy.  It didn’t happen.  So many tearful outcomes could have played out.  Heartbroken tears.  Angry tears.

I choose to cast my cares on you, Lord, and you will sustain me.  Psalm 55:22

Instead, great friends replaced the emptiness of what should have been.

Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful young woman my baby girl has become.  You have given her the strength and the nobility of Queen Esther…… The loyalty and love of Ruth……  The trustworthiness of  Mary…..  Continue to bless her Lord!

And I didn’t cry…. in front of her, anyways!

May God bless your Monday.
